CURRENCY TRADING


FOR MALAYSIANS:

What currency is currently weak against the ringgit?

Icelandic Króna (kr) to 1 ringgit at 36.1, +97.3% since November last year (18.3), due to the collapse of the Icelandic banking sector in October, last month as a result of the global financial crisis.

South African Rand (R) to 1 ringgit at 2.79, +38.8% since November last year (2.01).

Australian Dollar ($) to 1 ringgit at 0.418, +30.6% since July this year (0.320).

If this keeps improving, I'm getting some AUDs next week!!!


FOR JAPANESE, CHINESE, & HONGKIES (or those holding these currencies):

This is a good time to change to ringgit. The opposite is true for vice versa i.e. don't convert ringgit to yen, renminbi or HKD now... (duh...)

Japanese Yen (¥) to 1 ringgit at 27.8, -21.2% since December last year (33.7).

Chinese Renminbi (¥) to 1 ringgit at 1.93, -15.0% since February this year (2.22).

Hong Kong Dollar ($) to 1 ringgit at 2.19, -12.3% since April this year (2.46).





FOR AMERICANS:

What currency is currently weak against the dollar?

Icelandic Króna (kr) to 1 dollar at 123.6, +101.6% since November last year (61.3).

South African Rand (R) to 1 dollar at 9.81, +44.9% since November last year (6.77).

Chilean Peso ($) to 1 dollar at 639.3, +44.3% since March this year (442.9).

Australian Dollar ($) to 1 dollar at 1.46, +40.4% since July this year (1.04).


FOR JAPANESE & HONGKIES (or those holding these currencies):

This is a good time to change to dollar.

Japanese Yen (¥) to 1 dollar at 98.8, -13.8% since December last year (112.4).

Hong Kong Dollar ($) to 1 dollar at 7.75, -0.8% since August this year (7.81)
